Saturday & Sunday saw five more pups leave for their new homes held in the arms of their loving new owners . . .
“Murphy” took off first thing Saturday morning with Erik & Helen Olson of Shoreline Washington. They recently lost their female Setter “Wrigley” after 14.5 years of joy. I know Murphy will create a new spot in their hearts and memories.
“Hatch” left Saturday, as well. Darold & Penny Lathum of Bothell Washington are looking forward to their first English Setter. Their son & Darold have been hunting over his German Shorthair, so I can see future hunting trips over a brace of dogs.
Congrats to Darold & Penny!
The third pup to leave Saturday was “Oakley,” so named because of his “sunglasses.” Eric & Monica Flynn of Tacoma Washington selected their pup almost four weeks ago, and had visited just once since then. Eric was amazed at how all of the pups had grown and matured.
I’m certain the future is bright for these three!
High noon drew on Sunday, and Katie Cole & David Dement Of Bellingham Washington pulled right on time to pick up their little girl “Raina.” This little black & white dynamo is going to have a new sister in April, so she won’t be the only new star in their home. These two folks are Setter people, and Katie’s father in Nebraska is looking at one of Sally’s pups by Duke. It runs in the family . . .
Last, but not least, “Reggie” went home here in Bothell with Lorri & Evelyn Shrader. He was a surprise Christmas present for Evelyn, who had been lamenting the loss of their last setter a couple of years back. I think Reggie has found a great place to grow into a great dog.
